Background information:
The original, the Boeing 747, is not known as the jumbo jet for nothing. This huge long-haul aircraft made its maiden flight on February 9, 1969. With its powerful Pratt & Whitney engines, it could lift a takeoff weight of over 300,000 kg and carry 385 passengers over an impressive 9,136 km. With the 747, Boeing created an entire series, with the 747-100 being followed by other variants with increased capacities.
